This page will have information for troubleshooting common issues with accessing PyraMED, the electronic medical records (EMR) system utilized by Vermont State University for new and current students.
Authentication Issues
If you successfully authenticate with your Portal username and password but receive the error message stating, “ERROR! You have encountered an unexpected error…” it likely indicates that your account hasn’t been uploaded to PyraMED yet. PyraMED is only available to current students and applicants, so if you are receiving this error by mistake, then please open an IT ticket so they can help. Provide your full name, college ID number, and/or username in the ticket description. Once submitted, the IT department will ensure your account is correctly uploaded and your access will be activated.
If you encounter an “invalid username or password” error during authentication, it indicates a credential issue. Please verify you’re using the same username and password you use for accessing your VTSU email, Portal, Canvas, and other online services. For troubleshooting guidance, you can visit the account troubleshooting support page. Alternatively, if you require assistance with your account, don’t hesitate to open an IT ticket. Please include your seven-digit college ID number in the ticket description.
