Example 2: Mary Taylor (no middle name) could have the username mxt00893.
Find your username
If you need to recover your username, complete the steps on the Identity Self-Service Username Recovery page.
Please note
You need your College ID and at least one contact method set up to retrieve your VSC username.
If you do not have your College ID, visit the Account Login FAQ: How do I find my seven digit College ID number?.
Usernames can be different
The current format for usernames came into effect in October, 2021. Students, faculty, and staff that joined the VSC prior to this date were assigned a username using a different algorithim.
Usernames vs College ID numbers
In addition to the VSC username, you also have a College ID number. Your College ID is a seven-digit number and is typically not used to login to services.
