Got a new phone?
If you replace your mobile phone, you will need to update your Duo profile. Here’s how to add your new phone to your VSC Duo multi-factor authentication profile.
First things first
- Make sure you have both you new phone and old phone on hand
- Download the Duo Mobile app on your new phone
Add your new phone
From a computer or your old phone, login to the Portal like you would normally, but take a quick pause when you get to the Duo screen so you can click add a new device.

Once you have clicked that, it will have you verify once more that it’s you with your old device.

When you have completed verification using your preferred method, it will walk you through adding your new device.
Pick Mobile phone and hit continue.

Enter your phone number. Since it is the same, check the box at the bottom to confirm you are replacing the number.

Enter your phone type.

Since we have the app installed, click the I have Duo Mobile installed.

Once you click that, a QR code will be displayed. Use the Duo app on your new phone to zap it and Duo will associate your new phone with your account.
