Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a system that protects your accounts with an extra layer of security. Instead of only relying on your password, accounts protected with MFA will require you to enter a secondary code to verify your identity when logging in. These codes are generally transmitted to your personal cell phone or email account, or by using a smartphone app.
VSC utilizes the Duo Security application to protect our accounts. Users will be automatically enrolled in this system and will be required to provide that secondary code when logging into websites that use your VSC credentials (the Portal, Canvas, Office 365, etc). Below you’ll find articles outlining the initial setup process, as well as some frequently asked questions. If you have any trouble accessing your account or need assistance with the initial setup please do not hesitate to contact the Helpdesk.
