From your Canvas classes to accessing your email, the VSC has a lot of different services that require a login. Fortunately, most sites use the same login page that offers a familiar experience each time. Sometimes refered to as Single Sign-On (SSO) or the Fischer page, the VSC authentication page is used by the Community College of Vermont and Vermont State University students, faculty, and staff everyday to access essential tools for school and work.

There many applications and services that use the VSC authentication page to login, and the list continues to grow. Here are some of the most commonly used applications:

Trouble logging in
If you are having trouble logging into a service that uses the VSC authentication page, try one of these troubleshooting steps.
Computer support
- Try a different web browser.
- Clear your browser’s cache. See our Browser Support page.
- Reset your password using the Password Reset Steps. VSC passwords expire! Password Expiration Details.
- Wait! If you are new to the VSC, you may just need to wait. Your various accounts will take up to 48 hours to set up.
Mobile device support
There are not as many troubleshooting options on mobile devices. A good first step is to see if you can login from a computer. If you cannot, then you may need to follow the Password Reset Steps. If you can, then try one of these troubleshooting steps:
- Swipe away the app
- Restart your mobile device
- Some apps allow you to clear the app cache Canvas Mobile Apps – Clear Your Cache
- Uninstall and re-install the mobile app
